An image processing method performed by an image processing apparatus that generates image data outputtable to a printer,

• the image processing apparatus includes a control unit that controls a screen caused to be displayed on a display unit in accordance with an operation input by a user via an operation unit,
• the control unit executes
• a preview screen display process of causing the display unit to display a preview screen for the image data, and
• a mark adding process of adding an alignment mark to a printing area of the image data in accordance with an operation input by the user on the preview screen,
• the preview screen includes
• a preview area that displays a preview of the image data, and
• a mark setting input unit configured to receive input for setting the addition of alignment marks,
• the mark setting input unit is configured to enable a setting as to whether the alignment marks are to be added to the entire printing area or to each object within the printing area, and
• in the mark adding process, the control unit is configured to cause the alignment mark in accordance with the addition setting to be displayed in the preview area.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium recording a program that implements a function of an image processing apparatus that generates image data outputtable to a printer, the program causing:

• an electronic device to function as a control unit that controls a screen caused to be displayed on a display unit in accordance with an operation input by a user via an operation unit;
• and
• the control unit to execute a preview screen display process of causing the display unit to display a preview screen for the image data, and
• a mark adding process of adding an alignment mark to a printing area of the image data in accordance with an operation input by the user on the preview screen,
• wherein
• the preview screen includes
• a preview area that displays a preview of the image data, and
• a mark setting input unit configured to receive input for setting the addition of alignment marks,
• the mark setting input unit is configured to enable a setting as to whether the alignment marks are to be added to the entire printing area or to each object within the printing area, and
• in the mark adding process, the control unit is configured to cause the alignment mark in accordance with the addition setting to be displayed in the preview area.
