Push to connect weatherproof box with integral release

An electrical box comprising:

• at least one conduit receiving port having an inner surface and a retention assembly opening;
• and
• at least one conduit retention assembly built into the retention assembly opening, the at least one conduit retention assembly including:
• at least one conduit gripping member that includes a ring having a hollow central portion and a plurality of teeth of varying lengths extending from the ring toward the hollow central portion;
• a pressure ring positioned adjacent the at least one conduit gripping member, the pressure ring having a center opening;
• and
• a conduit release member positioned within the center opening of the pressure ring such that the conduit release member is held within the pressure ring, and at least a portion of the conduit release member is movable within the pressure ring in directions toward and away from the at least one conduit gripping member.

A conduit retention assembly comprising:

• at least one conduit gripping member including a ring having a hollow central portion and a plurality of teeth of varying length extending from the ring toward the hollow central portion such that each of the plurality of teeth are at an angle relative to the ring;
• a pressure ring positioned adjacent the at least one conduit gripping member, the pressure ring having a center opening;
• and
• a conduit release member built into the center opening of the pressure ring such that the conduit release member is held within the pressure ring, and at least a portion of the conduit release member is movable within the pressure ring in directions toward and away from the at least one conduit gripping member.
