Optical connectivity solution for fiber to home network

A fiber enclosure (300) for receiving and managing a plurality of optical fibers, comprising:

• a housing defining an interior volume, wherein the housing comprises a base (302), a plurality of sidewalls (304) extending from the base (302), and a cover (314) coupled to the base (302);
• a plurality of input ports (308) provided on at least one of the sidewalls (304), wherein the plurality of input ports (308) are configured to receive a plurality of input cables (202) having the plurality of optical fibers arranged in a plurality of optical fiber bundles, wherein the plurality of input cables (202) is made of optical fibers configured to bend 5 mm or 7.5 mm radius optical fibers compliant with ITU-T G.657.
• a plurality of fanout units (310, 312) disposed within the housing, wherein each of the fanout units (310, 312) is configured to receive at least one of the plurality of optical fiber bundles;
• and
• a multi-tiered adapter frame (402) defining a stair arrangement removably mounted within the housing, wherein the multi-tiered adapter frame (402) comprises:
• a plurality of horizontally-extending step portions (412) separated by vertically-extending riser portions (430), wherein each of the horizontally-extending step portions (412) lie in a plane offset from adjacent horizontally-extending step portions (412);
• and
• a plurality of optical fiber adapters (404) mounted on the plurality of horizontally-extending step portions (412), wherein each optical fiber adapter (404) is oriented such that a plurality of adapter ports (422a) fact a common front access direction (A), the mounting angle of each adapter port (422a) relative to its step portion (412) is angled between 80° to 100° and the plurality of horizontally-extending step portions (412) are curved (a non-linear surface) or angled between 45° and 135°.
