Lighting device for a motor vehicle and motor vehicle with such a lighting device

A lighting device for a motor vehicle, comprising:

• a plurality of light sources,
• at least two light guides, each of the light guides having an entry surface for the light emitted by at least one of the light sources and an exit surface for the light entering the light guide through the entry surface, and
• an at least partially transparent cover through which the light emitted by at least one of the light guides can pass, the lighting device being arranged to be installed in the motor vehicle in such a way that the exit surface of a first of the light guides is arranged on an outer side of a body region of the motor vehicle, so that the light emitted by this first light guide passes directly into the outer space of the motor vehicle, and in that the exit surface of a second of the light guides is arranged behind a body region of the motor vehicle provided with the cover, so that the light emitted by this second light guide passes into the outer space of the motor vehicle only after passing through the cover.
