A rotary valve comprises a housing and an end flange. The end flange comprises a pressure port and a through hole having first and second open ends and a threaded section between the ends. A rotor is rotatably mounted in the housing and comprises a contact surface. A stator is slidably mounted between the rotor and the end flange. The stator comprises a first side facing the contact surface of the rotor, and an opposite second side comprising a spring seat. A spring is received in the spring seat and the through hole on the flange. A spring tension adjuster threadedly engages the threaded section in the through hole and presses the spring towards the stator.
