Abstract
The present invention refers a method of recovering materials derived from nickel ore, involving a method of obtaining nickel ore concentrate and a processing method of said concentrate, whereby nickel ore can be processed in an efficient and ecological manner, and residues and materials currently untapped can be recovered from this nickel ore.
Claims5
A method of obtaining a nickel ore concentrate, the method comprising:
- performing intense attrition on the nickel ore;
- sorting the nickel ore by size into at least one fine fraction and one coarse fraction;
- magnetically sorting the coarse fraction for obtaining a magnetic fraction;
- grinding the magnetic fraction for obtaining a fine magnetic fraction;
- and
- combining the fine fraction and the fine magnetic fraction for obtaining a nickel ore concentrate.
