Abstract
A polyurethane insulation foam composition is disclosed herein. The polyurethane insulation foam comprises: (i) an aromatic isocyanate compound; (ii) an isocyanate reactive compound; (iii) water; (iv) a tertiary amine compound; (v) a hydrophilic carboxylic acid compound; (vi) a halogenated olefin compound; (vii) a stabilizing compound, and (vii) optionally, other additives.
Claims16
A catalyst for producing a halogenated olefin-blown polyurethane spray foam comprising:
- one or more tertiary amine compounds, wherein at least one tertiary amine compound has the general structure of Formula (I):
- wherein R1 and R2 are independently C1-C4 alkyl;
- X is NR3, wherein R3 is a C1-C4 alkyl;
- and
- Y is NR4R5 wherein R4 and R5 are independently C1-C4 alkyl.

A polyurethane spray foam composition comprising:
- a) an isocyanate compound;
- b) an isocyanate reactive compound;
- c) water;
- d) one or more tertiary amine compounds, wherein at least one tertiary amine compound has the general structure of Formula (I):
- wherein R1 and R2 are independently C1-C4 alkyl;
- X is oxygen or NR3, wherein R3 is a C1-C4 alkyl;
- and
- Y is NR4R5 wherein R4 and R5 are independently C1-C4 alkyl;
- e) an acid;
- f) a halogenated olefin blowing agent;
- and
- g) a stabilizing compound.
