Abstract

The invention relates to a lighting device for a door entrance of a vehicle with a light module. The light module includes a flat cover element having a light-permeable surface region and/or a light-impermeable surface region for forming a graphic pattern, and a flat light element which is configured to emit light from a front side of the light element facing the cover element in the direction of the flat cover element. The light module is designed in the shape of a strip, so that it is integrated in a door sill of the vehicle or on a lower edge of a door of the vehicle. The light module forms a visible surface of the door sill and/or of the lower edge of the door.
