Abstract
Cosmetic compositions include one or more pearlescent pigments; and a thickening system including at least one synthetic polymer and at least one thickening polysaccharide; wherein the composition is free of emulsifiers; wherein the one or more pearlescent pigments and the thickening system form a stable suspension. The cosmetic compositions are in the form of a low viscosity, emulsifier-free emulsion (with pearlescent pigments in suspension while maintaining unique rheology compatible with rollerball cartridges.
Claims19
A cosmetic composition comprising:
- one or more pearlescent pigments;
- and
- a thickening system including at least one synthetic polymer and at least one thickening polysaccharide;
- wherein the composition is free of emulsifiers;
- wherein the one or more pearlescent pigments and the thickening system form a stable suspension;
- and
- wherein the thickening system is present in an amount sufficient to cause the cosmetic composition to be retained within a rollerball cartridge assembly without substantial leakage.
A device with rollerball cartridges comprising a cosmetic composition that is compatible with the said rollerball cartridges, the cosmetic composition comprising:
- a viscosity below 0.34 Pa·s at 25° C., and shear rate of 200 1/s at 25° C.;
- and
- wherein the cosmetic composition includes:
- one or more pearlescent pigments;
- and
- a thickening system including at least one synthetic polymer and at least one thickening polysaccharide;
- wherein the cosmetic composition is free of emulsifiers;
- wherein the one or more pearlescent pigments and the thickening system form a stable suspension;
- and
- wherein the thickening system is present in an amount sufficient to cause the cosmetic composition to be retained within a rollerball cartridge assembly without substantial leakage.
