Abstract
Systems, devices, and methods for replacing an eyedropper tip on an eyedropper bottle with a replacement eyedropper tip. Such a system may include, without limitation, a removal tool, an application tool, and a replacement eyedropper tip. The removal tool may be used to remove a preexisting eyedropper tip on an eyedropper bottle, and the application tool may be used to apply the replacement eyedropper tip to the eyedropper bottle. In some embodiments, the replacement eyedropper tip and the application tool may be formed as a single unit or effectively be the same component.
Claims18
A method for replacing an existing eyedropper tip with a replacement eyedropper tip, the method comprising:
- providing an eyedropper bottle having:
- an existing eyedropper tip, said existing eyedropper tip including:
- a top region comprising a nose;
- and
- a lower region having an outer surface
- an upper region including:
- an inner surface;
- and
- exterior threads for supporting an existing cap;
- wherein said outer surface of said existing eyedropper tip engages said inner surface of said upper region via an interference fit;
- separating said existing eyedropper tip from said eyedropper bottle
- screwing a collar of said replacement eyedropper tip onto said exterior threads, said collar including internal threads positioned in a hollowed out space below a replacement eyedropper nose;
- having a repeatedly separable top region of said replacement eyedropper tip enclosing said replacement eyedropper nose, said repeatedly separable top region separating from said collar while said internal threads remain engaged with said exterior threads.
A replacement eyedropper tip comprising:
- a collar including internal threads positioned in a hollowed out space below a replacement eyedropper nose;
- and
- a repeatedly separable top region of said replacement eyedropper tip, said repeatedly separable top region enclosing said replacement eyedropper nose and separating from said collar via a snap on/snap off connection;
- wherein said internal threads are configured to interface with an existing eyedropper bottle having exterior threads configured to interface with an existing bottle cap.
An eyedropper bottle comprising:
- a main body;
- an elongated upper region extending from said main body and including:
- an inner surface;
- and
- exterior threads;
- a collar including internal threads positioned in a hollowed out space below an eyedropper nose, said internal threads engaging said exterior threads of the upper region;
- a repeatedly separable top region of said eyedropper tip, said repeatedly separable top region enclosing said eyedropper nose and separating from said collar via a snap on/snap off connection while said internal threads remain engaged with said exterior threads.
