Abstract
An image reading apparatus includes a transparent member, a reading unit configured to read an image on a document through the transparent member, an opening/closing unit disposed to be openable and closable with respect to the transparent member, and a controller configured to acquire environmental information including at least one of temperature and humidity, and configured to cause a display unit to display an indication prompting an opening of the opening/closing unit based on the environmental information.

An image reading apparatus comprising:
- a transparent member;
- a reading unit configured to read an image on a document through the transparent member;
- an opening/closing unit disposed to be openable and closable with respect to the transparent member;
- and
- a controller configured to acquire environmental information including at least one of temperature and humidity, and configured to cause a display unit to display an indication prompting an opening of the opening/closing unit based on the environmental information.

- an image reading apparatus configured to read an image on a document;
- an image forming apparatus body configured to form the image on a recording medium;
- and
- a display unit configured to display information,
- wherein the image reading apparatus includes:
- a transparent member;

- an opening/closing unit disposed to be openable and closable with respect to the transparent member;

- a first controller configured to transmit image information that has been read by the reading unit,
- wherein the image forming apparatus body includes:
- an environmental sensor configured to detect environmental information including at least one of temperature and humidity;
- a second controller configured to receive the image information transmitted by the first controller;
- and
- an image forming unit configured to form the image on a sheet based on the image information received by the second controller, and
- wherein the first controller is configured to cause the display unit to display an indication prompting an opening of the opening/closing unit.
