Abstract
A device for use with a firearm. The device may include a body for receiving the barrel of a firearm, a system board, a microcontroller, and a memory component. The device may have a plurality of cavities and a plurality of subcomponents located within the plurality of cavities. The device may include a plurality of buttons, such that the plurality of buttons are operably connected to the plurality of subcomponents.

A handguard for a firearm, the handguard comprising:
- a first longitudinal end, a second longitudinal end, and an opening extending between the first longitudinal end and the second longitudinal end, wherein the opening is configured to receive a barrel of the firearm;
- a first side and a second side extending between the first longitudinal end and the second longitudinal end;
- an upper end at least partially defined by a mounting rail;
- and
- a lower end at least partially defined by a battery compartment, wherein the battery compartment is located below a barrel of the firearm when in an installed configuration;
- wherein the first longitudinal end further comprises a first mounting cavity and a second mounting cavity;
- and
- a system board having a microcontroller and a memory, wherein the system board is positioned proximate to the upper end of the handguard.

- a body having an opening configured to receive a barrel of a firearm;
- a battery compartment;
- a microcontroller and a system board;
- a first end having a first laser cavity and a second laser cavity, wherein the first laser cavity comprises an infrared laser and wherein the second laser cavity comprises a visible laser;

- a first side having:
- a first plurality of buttons;
- a charging port;
- a barrel nut retention bolt;
- and
- a second side having a second plurality of buttons;
- wherein the first plurality of buttons, the second plurality of buttons, the first infrared laser and the visible laser are electrically coupled to the system board.
