Abstract
A draining device for use with a fluid spout includes a main body including a stem portion defining a first aperture configured to fluidly couple with a pressure source. The main body includes a base portion defining a second aperture configured to fluidly couple with a fluid spout. The main body defines an internal passage extending from the first aperture to the second aperture. The main body may fluidly couple the pressure source and the fluid spout through the internal passage.
Claims20
A device for draining fluid from a fluid outlet, the device comprising:
- a main body integrally formed of a unitary single piece of material and defining:
- an internal passageway through an entire length of the main body between only a first opening and a second opening,
- a stem portion forming the first opening to connect with a pressure source,
- a base portion forming the second opening to connect with the fluid outlet, and
- a shoulder portion between the base portion and the stem portion and defining a contoured transition between the stem portion and the base portion, the shoulder portion having a greater outer dimension near the base portion than an outer dimension of the shoulder portion near the stem portion;
- wherein a second diameter of the internal passageway at the second opening is greater than a first diameter at the first opening.
A draining device configured to fluidically couple with and drain fluid of a water bib, comprising:
- a main body comprising:
- a continuous fluid passageway defining a single internal passage through the main body extending between a first aperture and a second aperture,
- a stem portion forming the first aperture and configured to connect with a pressure source, and
- a base portion forming the second aperture and including spout engagement features extending about the continuous fluid passageway to selectively connect with the water bib;
- wherein the continuous fluid passageway has a first diameter at the first aperture and a second diameter at the second aperture, the second diameter is greater than the first diameter.
A draining device for use with a fluid spout, the draining device comprising:
- a stem portion defining a first opening;
- a base portion defining a second opening;
- an intermediate portion extending between the stem portion and the base portion;
- and
- a wing integrally formed with and protruding from an exterior of at least one of the stem portion, the base portion, or the intermediate portion;
- wherein:
- the stem portion, the base portion, and the intermediate portion together define an internal passage extending continuously from the first opening to the second opening, and
- a diameter of the internal passage increases between the first opening and the second opening at the intermediate portion.
