Abstract
A woven silt fence fabric includes two or more different warp yarns having different cross-sectional shapes in the machine direction and/or two or more different fill yarns having different cross-sectional shapes in the cross-machine/transverse direction.

A woven silt fence fabric configured to provide a combined hydraulic- mechanical performance, the woven silt fence fabric comprising:
- warp yarns extending in a machine direction (MD), the warp yarns including oval or flat monofilament yarns of 500 to 1800 denier;
- and
- fill yarns extending in a cross-machine direction (CMD) and including alternating groups of round monofilament yarns of 500 to 2000 denier and fibrillated tape yarns of to 6000 denier inserted substantially parallel with each other in the CMD;
- wherein the woven silt fence fabric is configured to have:
- an apparent opening size (AOS) per ASTM D-4751 of 30 to 70 U.S. standard sieve;
- permittivity (per ASTM D-4491) of at least 0.35 s−1;
- and
- a wide width tensile strength (per ASTM D-4595) of at least 1500 lbs/ft at 5% strain in the CMD.

A woven silt fence fabric configured to provide a combined hydraulic-mechanical performance, the woven silt fence fabric comprising:
- warp yarns extending in a machine direction (MD), the warp yarns including oval or flat monofilament yarns having a denier within a range from 500 to 1800 denier;
- and
- fill yarns extending in a cross-machine direction (CMD), the fill yarns including alternating groups inserted substantially parallel with each other in the CMD, the alternating groups including round monofilament fill yarns having a denier within a range from 500 to 2000 denier and fibrillated tape fill yarns having a denier within a range from to 6000 denier;
- wherein the alternating groups are arranged in a repeating sequence in the CMD such that a group of round monofilament ends alternates with a group of fibrillated tape ends along a full width of the woven silt fence fabric.

A woven silt fence fabric comprising:
- tape warp yarns having a denier within a range from 800 to 1900 denier;
- and
- alternating groups of round monofilament fill yarns having a denier within a range from 1100 to 1700 denier and fibrillated tape fill yarns having a denier within a range from to 5000 denier;
- wherein the woven silt fence fabric is configured to have a wide width tensile strength (per ASTM D-4595) of at least 1500 lbs/ft at 5% strain in the CMD.
