Abstract
A sheet conveying apparatus includes a feed roller, a separation pad, a separation roller, and at least one groove. The feed roller feeds at least one sheet from a sheet feeding tray in a predetermined conveying direction. The separation pad is provided on a downstream side of the feed roller in the conveying direction. The separation roller holds the at least one sheet fed by the feed roller between itself and the separation pad and conveys the at least one sheet in the conveying direction. At least one groove is provided on a surface of the separation pad with which the at least one sheet comes into contact.
Claims6
A sheet conveying apparatus comprising:
- a feed roller which feeds at least one sheet from a sheet feeding tray in a predetermined conveying direction;
- a separation pad which is provided on a downstream side of the feed roller in the conveying direction;
- a separation roller which holds the at least one sheet fed by the feed roller between itself and the separation pad and conveys the at least one sheet in the conveying direction;
- and
- at least one groove which is provided on a surface of the separation pad with which the at least one sheet comes into contact.
