Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for producing a modified wood material comprising: 1) step of impregnating an untreated wood material with at least one acid selected from citric acid, malic acid and glutaric acid, and glycerin to obtain a chemical-impregnated wood material; and 2) step of heating the chemical-impregnated wood material obtained in step 1.

A method for producing a modified wood material comprising:
- 1) step of impregnating an untreated wood material with at least one acid selected from citric acid, malic acid and glutaric acid, and glycerin to obtain a chemical-impregnated wood material;
- and
- 2) step of heating the chemical-impregnated wood material obtained in step 1.
A modified wood material comprising a reaction product of at least one acid selected from citric acid, malic acid and glutaric acid, and glycerin.
