Abstract
A system comprising processing circuitry configured to receive a wirelessly-transmitted message from a medical device, the message indicating that the medical device detected an acute health event of the patient. In response to the message, the processing circuitry is configured to determine a location of the patient, determine an alert area based on the location of the patient, and control transmission of an alert of the acute heath event of the patient to any one or more computing devices of one or more potential responders within the alert area.
Claims20
A system comprising processing circuitry configured to:
- receive a wirelessly-transmitted message from a medical device, the message indicating that the medical device detected an acute health event of a patient;
- and
- in response to the message:
- determine a location of the patient;
- determine an alert area based on the location of the patient;
- control a user interface of a patient computing device to present a first alert;
- determine an alert cancellation is not received via the user interface within a time interval from presentation of the first alert;
- and
- based on the determination that the alert cancellation is not received within the time interval, control transmission of a second alert of the acute heath event of the patient to any one or more computing devices of one or more potential responders within the alert area.
A method comprising:
- receiving, by processing circuitry, a wirelessly-transmitted message from a medical device, the message indicating that the medical device detected an acute health event of a patient;
- and
- in response to the message:
- determining, by the processing circuitry, a location of the patient;
- determining, by the processing circuitry, an alert area based on the location of the patient;
- controlling, by the processing circuitry, a user interface of a patient computing device to present a first alert;
- determining, by the processing circuitry, an alert cancellation is not received via the user interface within a time interval from presentation of the first alert;
- and
- based on determining that the alert cancellation is not received within the time interval, controlling, by the processing circuitry, transmission of a second alert of the acute heath event of the patient to any one or more computing devices of one or more potential responders within the alert area.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that when executed cause processing circuitry to:
- receive a wirelessly-transmitted message from a medical device, the message indicating that the medical device detected an acute health event of a patient;
- and
- in response to the message:
- determine a location of the patient;
- determine an alert area based on the location of the patient;
- control a user interface of a patient computing device to present a first alert;
- determine an alert cancellation is not received via the user interface within a time interval from presentation of the first alert;
- and
- based on the determination that the alert cancellation is not received within the time interval, control transmission of a second alert of the acute heath event of the patient to any one or more computing devices of one or more potential responders within the alert area.
