Abstract
A hammock kit comprises a hammock, and a portable hammock stand adaptable to connecting with and suspending the hammock. The portable hammock stand comprises: a proximal bipod comprising a first proximal support pole and a second proximal support pole; a distal bipod comprising a first distal support pole and a second distal support pole; a ridgepole having a proximal end and a distal end, and extending between the proximal bipod and the distal bipod; a distal multifunctional hammock stand hub; a proximal multifunctional hammock stand hub; and at least one stabilizer pole. Each of the distal multifunctional hammock stand hub and the proximal multifunctional hammock stand hub comprises: a body comprising a plurality of slots.
Claims31
A portable hammock kit, comprising:
- a hammock, and
- a portable hammock stand adaptable to connecting with and suspending the hammock, the portable hammock stand comprising:
- a proximal bipod comprising a first proximal support pole and a second proximal support pole;
- a distal bipod comprising a first distal support pole and a second distal support pole;
- a ridgepole having a proximal end and a distal end, and extending between the proximal bipod and the distal bipod;
- a distal multifunctional hammock stand hub;
- a proximal multifunctional hammock stand hub;
- and
- at least one stabilizer pole,
- wherein each of the distal multifunctional hammock stand hub and the proximal multifunctional hammock stand hub comprise:
- a body comprising a plurality of slots wherein the plurality of slots comprise:
- a first support pole-receiving slot extending in a first direction;
- a second support pole-receiving slot extending in a second direction that is different than the first direction;
- a stabilizer pole-receiving slot extending in a third direction, wherein the third direction is different than the first and second directions;
- and
- a ridge pole-receiving slot extending in a fourth direction, wherein the fourth direction is different than the first, second and third directions,
- wherein the distal multifunctional hammock stand hub connects to the first distal support pole via an end of the first distal support pole inserted in the first support pole-receiving slot, connects to the second distal support pole via an end of the second distal support pole inserted in the second support pole-receiving slot, and connects to the distal end of the ridge pole via the distal end of the ridge pole inserted in the ridge pole-receiving slot,
