Abstract
Systems, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to improving the testing of electronic devices. In one embodiment, a method includes identifying an interface device and a test device to be connected during a test. The method also includes loading, based on the interface device and the test device, a hardware template for the test from memory. The hardware template indicates a test device definition that includes configuration information for a port of the test device. The method also includes providing the configuration information to facilitate mediating communication with the test device.
Claims20
A system, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory storing machine-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
- identify an interface device and a test device to be connected during a test;
- load, based on the interface device and the test device, a hardware template for the test from memory, the hardware template indicates a test device definition that includes configuration information for a port of the test device;
- and
- provide the configuration information to facilitate mediating communication with the test device.
A non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:
- identify an interface device and a test device to be connected during a test;
- load, based on the interface device and the test device, a hardware template for the test from memory, the hardware template indicates a test device definition that includes configuration information for a port of the test device;
- and
- provide the configuration information to facilitate mediating communication with the test device.
A method, comprising:
- identifying an interface device and a test device to be connected during a test;
- loading, based on the interface device and the test device, a hardware template for the test from memory, the hardware template indicates a test device definition that includes configuration information for a port of the test device;
- and
- providing the configuration information to facilitate mediating communication with the test device.
