Abstract
Oil and gas operations according to which a wellhead is operably associated with a wellbore, a valve is operably coupled to the wellhead, opposite the wellbore, a frac line is operably coupled to the wellhead, and a zipper module is operably coupled to the frac line, opposite the wellhead.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- permitting passage of a tethered object through a first valve and into a wellhead, said first valve being operably coupled:
- to the wellhead, opposite a wellbore;
- and
- between the wellhead and a lubricator;
- wherein permitting passage of the tethered object through the first valve and into the wellhead comprises:
- while the first valve is closed to at least partially fluidically isolate an operating volume from the wellhead, and while fluid communication is permitted between the lubricator and the operating volume, permitting pressurization of the operating volume via a conduit, said conduit being operably coupled:
- to the operating volume;
- and
- from a pressure source other than the lubricator;
- and
- after permitting the pressurization of the operating volume via the conduit, and while the fluid communication continues to be permitted between the lubricator and the operating volume, opening the first valve to permit the passage of the tethered object through the first valve and into the wellhead;
- wherein the operating volume is at least partially defined by:
- the first valve;
- and
- a second valve;
- and
- wherein pressurization of the operating volume and the lubricator is permitted, and continues to be permitted, from the pressure source as a result of the second valve being or remaining opened.
