Amphoterically-modified trialkylene tetramine ethoxylates for improved stain removal of laundry detergents

Amphoterically-modified trialkylene tetramine ethoxylates (A) of general formula (I)

• wherein
• each R1 is individually the same or different and selected from the group consisting of C1-C4-alkyl, H and a free electron pair, wherein at least 50% of all R1 are C1-C4-alkyl,
• EO is —CH2—CH2—O,
• each Y is individually the same or different and selected from the group consisting of SO3− and H, wherein at least 30% of all Y are SO3−,
• each x is individually the same or different and in a range of from 5 to 50 and
• n is selected from the group consisting of 1, 2 and 3, and wherein n is 1, 2 or 3, at least 80% of R1 are C1-C4-alkyl and the ratio of R1 to Y is on average from 1.0:1.0 to 1.0:0.8 when R1 is C1-C4-alkyl and Y is SO3−.
