Abstract
The present invention relates to oligonucleotides encoding a tissue inhibitor of metalloproteases (TIMP) protein, a method of treatment of diseases and medical conditions associated with insufficient presence of extracellular matrix proteins, use of the oligonucleotide in such treatment, as well as pharmaceutical compositions and medical devices comprisesing such oligonucleotide.
Claims25
A method of treatment of diseases or medical conditions in a mammal associated with insufficient presence of at least one extracellular matrix protein, said method comprises the application of an oligonucleotide comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding a ‘tissue inhibitor of metalloproteases’ (TIMP) protein to the mammal suspected of being affected by said medical disease or medical condition.
A pharmaceutical composition for the treatment or prophylaxis of diseases or medical conditions in a mammal associated with insufficient presence of at least one extracellular matrix protein, comprising an oligonucleotide having a nucleotide sequence encoding a ‘tissue inhibitor of metalloproteases’ (TIMP) protein and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
A medical device comprising an oligonucleotide having a nucleotide sequence encoding a ‘tissue inhibitor of metalloproteases’ (TIMP) protein.
