Abstract

A positive electrode active material, and a preparation method and a use thereof. The chemical formula of the positive electrode active material is Li1+aNaxPyNi0.5+bMn1.5+cMzOd, where −0.1≤a≤0.2, −0.2≤b≤0.2, −0.2≤c≤0.2, 3.8≤d≤4.3, 0<x≤0.15, 0<y≤0.1, 0≤z≤0.2, and the M element is selected from at least one of Mg, Al, Ca, Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, Ga, Sr, Y, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ru, Ta, W, B, Si, Ge, Sb, Te, S, and F. The positive electrode active material has a high average voltage and energy density, and when the positive electrode active material is applied to a lithium-ion battery, it is beneficial for reducing cost and improving comprehensive cost performance.
