Specialized lighting configuration for projection of striped lighting

A vehicle tunnel, comprising:

• a vehicle tunnel entrance area;
• a vehicle tunnel exit area;
• and
• a plurality of uniform lighting pattern panels corresponding to an interior surface of the vehicle tunnel, the plurality of uniform lighting pattern panels configured to illuminate a plurality of vehicle surfaces of a vehicle passing through the vehicle tunnel, wherein a plurality of dark lines are formed in a plurality of gaps between the plurality of uniform lighting pattern panels, wherein the plurality of dark lines and the plurality of uniform lighting pattern panels project lighting onto the plurality of vehicle surfaces of the vehicle passing through the vehicle tunnel, wherein projected lighting forms alternating light and dark geometric patterns on the plurality of vehicle surfaces when captured by a camera having a frame rate of more than 120 frames per second, wherein widths of the plurality of gaps are determined based on an inverse relationship with the frame rate of the camera;
• wherein a plurality of vehicle tunnel cameras are configured to capture a plurality of vehicle surface images when illuminated by the plurality of uniform lighting pattern panels with the plurality of gaps, wherein the plurality of vehicle surface images are analyzed to detect vehicle imperfections.
