Abstract
An example operation includes one or more of obtaining a destination of a vehicle, determining an amount of traffic in an area proximate a route to the destination within a time frame, determining a best time to leave in the time frame and a worst time to leave in the time frame, where the best time to leave provides a minimum traffic in the area and the worst time to leave provides a maximum traffic in the area, and determining one or more of a degradation of a battery of the vehicle and an energy usage of the vehicle for one or more of the best time to leave and the worst time to leave.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- determining by at least one processor an amount of traffic in an area proximate to a route to a destination within a time frame, wherein the area is defined by a radius input via a graphical user interface (GUI) of a device associated with a user of a vehicle;
- periodically receiving by the at least one processor an identified amount of traffic in the area proximate to the route within the time frame;
- identifying by the at least one processor characteristics associated with the area, wherein the characteristics are related to one or more of a degradation of a battery of the vehicle or an energy usage of the vehicle;
- determining by the at least one processor the characteristics of the vehicle based on a time of departure of the vehicle;
- and
- generating a user-manipulable overlay of the characteristics on the GUI by the at least one processor.
A system comprising:
- at least one processor,
- wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
- determine an amount of traffic in an area proximate to a route to a destination within a time frame, wherein the area is defined by a radius input via a graphical user interface (GUI) of a device associated with a user of a vehicle;
- periodically receive an identified amount of traffic in the area proximate to the route within the time frame;
- identify characteristics associated with the area, wherein the characteristics are related to one or more of a degradation of a battery of the vehicle or an energy usage of the vehicle;
- determine the characteristics of the vehicle based on a time of departure of the vehicle;
- and
- generate a user-manipulable overlay of the characteristics on the GUI.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by at least one processor of a vehicle, cause the at least one processor to perform:
- determining an amount of traffic in an area proximate to a route to a destination within a time frame, wherein the area is defined by a radius input via a graphical user interface (GUI) of a device associated with a user of the vehicle;
- periodically receiving an identified amount of traffic in the area proximate to the route within the time frame;
- identifying characteristics associated with the area, wherein the characteristics are related to one or more of a degradation of a battery of the vehicle or an energy usage of the vehicle;
- determining the characteristics of the vehicle based on a time of departure of the vehicle;
- and
- generating a user-manipulable overlay of the characteristics on the GUI.
