Abstract

A vehicle control apparatus includes a memory and a processor. The processor charges a battery used to drive a vehicle by charging or discharging, based on charge power, determines a route based on at least one location included in locations which are not medical facilities, but need to use medical equipment, determines an amount of power necessary to drive the vehicle along the route and use the medical equipment, provides use of the medical equipment at the at least one location or provides a user with a notification indicating that it is impossible to use the medical equipment at the at least one location, and delivers insufficiency of the charging remaining capacity or not to a control room which handles a situation causing the vehicle or a vehicle including medical equipment and different from the vehicle to reach at least one specified location.
