Abstract
Methods of treating or preventing an injury or related disease caused by ionizing irradiation exposure, including by photon, particle beam radiation, or both, in a subject in need thereof, the methods comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a surfactant, preferably an amphiphilic block copolymer or one or more of amphiphilic block copolymer polypeptide composites.

A method for treating effects of ionizing radiation in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject in need thereof a therapeutic composition comprising a surfactant copolymer and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
