Abstract
A composition includes polyphenolic particles and a surfactant, on the polyphenolic particles. The composition is lipophilic. The polyphenolic particles are non-pigmentary. A dispersion includes the polyphenolic particles, the surfactant, and a carrier vehicle. The carrier vehicle may be a cosmetically-acceptable fluid or a wax that is lipophilic.

A composition, comprising:
- polyphenolic particles, and
- a surfactant, on the surface of the polyphenolic particles,
- wherein the polyphenolic particles are in the solid state.
