Abstract
A method may be used to modify gait mechanics of a patient. The method may include selecting a shoe comprising a first outsole based a foot size of the patient, obtaining measurements of one or more anatomic features of the patient, selecting a second outsole based on the foot size, the second outsole comprising a hindfoot portion, a forefoot portion, and a central portion connecting the hindfoot portion and the forefoot portion, adjusting the second outsole based on the measurements of the one or more anatomic features, and attaching the second outsole to the first outsole.
Claims23
A method for modifying gait mechanics of a patient, the method comprising:
- selecting a shoe comprising a first outsole based a foot size of the patient;
- obtaining measurements of one or more anatomic features of the patient;
- selecting a second outsole based on the foot size, the second outsole comprising a hindfoot portion, a forefoot portion, and a central portion connecting the hindfoot portion and the forefoot portion;
- adjusting the second outsole based on the measurements of the one or more anatomic features;
- and
- attaching the second outsole to the first outsole.
A method for modifying gait mechanics of a patient, the method comprising:
- measuring one or more anatomic features of the patient;
- recording the one or more anatomic features on a baseline fixture;
- selecting a second outsole based on the one or more anatomic features;
- engaging the second outsole with an adjustment platform;
- and
- using the adjustment platform to adjust the second outsole to align with the one or more anatomic features recorded on the baseline fixture.
A method for modifying gait mechanics of a patient, the method comprising:
- selecting a shoe comprising a first outsole;
- selecting a second outsole;
- measuring one or more anatomic features of the patient;
- adjusting the second outsole based on the one or more anatomic features;
- attaching the second outsole to the first outsole;
- performing a gait analysis of the patient wearing the shoe;
- detaching the second outsole from the first outsole;
- re-adjusting the second outsole based on the gait analysis;
- and
- re-attaching the second outsole to the first outsole.
