Plant and related process for treating organic material

Plant for treating organic material comprising:

• a support frame;
• a reactor for drying organic material, said reactor having a treatment chamber with one or more openings configured to receive organic material to be treated, wherein the reactor is mounted on the support frame in such a way that it can perform a rotation about a rotational axis of the reactor and a translation relative to the support frame;
• a sensor comprising:
• a reference component,
• a rotating component angularly constrained to the reactor, wherein the reference component is configured to cooperate with the rotating component to provide an output signal representative of a relative angular position of the reactor with respect to the support frame;
• a suspension system connecting the support frame to the reference component of the sensor and configured to:
• allow the reference component a translational movement relative to the support frame, said translational movement having an axial component, extending along a direction parallel to or coinciding with the rotational axis of the reactor, less than 20 mm,
• allow a rotational movement of the reference component of the sensor relative to the support frame, said rotational movement being limited to a given acute angle which is below 5°.

Plant for treating organic material comprising:

• a support frame;
• a reactor for drying organic material, said reactor having a treatment chamber with one or more openings configured to receive organic material to be treated, wherein the reactor is mounted on the support frame in such a way that it can perform a rotation about a rotational axis of the reactor and a translation relative to the support frame;
• a sensor comprising:
• a reference component,
• a rotating component angularly constrained to the reactor, wherein the reference component is configured to cooperate with the rotating component to provide an output signal representative of a relative angular position of the reactor with respect to the support frame;
• a suspension system connecting the support frame to the reference component of the sensor and configured to:
• allow the reference component a translational movement relative to the support frame,
• limit or prevent a rotational movement of the reference component of the sensor relative to the support frame;
• at least one supply line carried by the support frame, said at least one supply line including one or more of:
• an electrical supply line, and a pneumatic supply line;
• a rotating coupling device configured to transmit one or more of:
• electrical power between the reactor and the at least one supply line, and pneumatic power between the reactor and the at least one supply line;
• wherein the rotating coupling device comprises:
• an internal element carried by the reactor and configured to move together with the reactor, said internal element being one or more of:
• electrically connected to the at least one supply line, pneumatically connected to the at least one supply line,
• an external element coupled to the internal element to allow transmission from the external element to the internal element of one or more of:
• electric power, and pneumatic power;
• and
• an auxiliary suspension system connecting the support frame to the external element of the rotating coupling device.
