Abstract
A filtering screen apparatus for filtering debris from a urinal includes a mesh screen that defines a plurality of apertures which extend therethrough. The mesh screen is configured to permit a fluid through the plurality of apertures and comprises a flexible material. A frame is coupled to and extends around a perimeter of the mesh screen. The frame comprises a bendable material such that the frame is configured to bend to conform to an interior surface of the urinal, and the mesh screen is configured to flex in response to a bending of the frame. The mesh screen may be positioned spaced above water held in the urinal when the frame is mounted to the interior surface.
Claims19
A filtering screen apparatus for catching debris in a urinal, the filtering screen apparatus comprising:
- a mesh screen defining a plurality of apertures which extend therethrough, the mesh screen being configured to permit a fluid through the plurality of apertures, the mesh screen comprising a flexible material;
- and
- a frame coupled to and extending around a perimeter of the mesh screen, the frame comprising a bendable material such that the frame is configured to bend to conform to an interior surface of the urinal, the mesh screen being configured to flex in response to a bending of the frame.
A filtering screen apparatus for catching debris in a urinal, the filtering screen apparatus comprising:
- a mesh screen defining a plurality of apertures which extend therethrough, the mesh screen being configured to permit a fluid through the plurality of apertures, the mesh screen comprising a flexible material;
- a frame coupled to and extending around a perimeter of the mesh screen, the frame comprising a bendable material such that the frame is configured to bend to conform to an interior surface of the urinal, the mesh screen being configured to flex in response to a bending of the frame, the frame being shaped to lie on a plane when the frame is in a resting condition;
- a plurality of mount members coupled to the frame, the plurality of mount members being distributed along a length of the frame, each mount member of the plurality of mount members comprising a suction cup, the suction cup of each mount member facing away from a rear face of the mesh screen;
- and
- a plurality of urinal blocks coupled to the frame, the plurality of urinal blocks being positioned on a rear side of the frame, each urinal block of the plurality of urinal blocks comprising a body and a disinfectant, the disinfectant being embedded in the body, the plurality of urinal blocks being distributed along the length of the frame, the plurality of urinal blocks being sized and configured to abut the interior surface of the urinal when the plurality of mount members mount to the interior surface of the urinal, a rearward surface of each urinal block being concavely arcuate.
