Abstract
Provided are a functional device and a household appliance having the same. The functional device includes at least one slow-release functional unit. The slow-release functional unit includes an insoluble base frame and a soluble functional portion. Thus, the functional material required during use of the household appliance can be carried on the household appliance by adding the soluble functional portion with the specific function into space supported by the insoluble base frame.

A functional device for a household appliance, the functional device comprising at least one slow-release functional unit, wherein each of the at least one slow-release functional unit comprises an insoluble base frame and a soluble functional portion.
A household appliance, comprising:
- a water supply device;
- and
- a functional device for a household appliance, the functional device comprising at least one slow-release functional unit, wherein each of the at least one slow-release functional unit comprises an insoluble base frame and a soluble functional portion,
- wherein the water supply device is connected to the functional device and adapted to supply water to the functional device.
