The dryer includes a drum, a pair of electrodes configured to apply an electric field to an inside of the drum, and including a first electrode including a plurality of sub-electrodes and a second electrode, at least one switch configured to electrically connect the plurality of sub-electrodes to either a power supply terminal or a ground terminal, memory, including one or more storage media, storing instructions, and least one processor communicatively coupled to the drum, the pair of electrodes, the at least one switch, and the memory, wherein the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor individually or collectively, cause the dryer to control the at least one switch.
