Self alignment agent and liquid crystal composition thereof

A self-aligning agent of general formula O:

• Ro2 represents -Spo2-Po1, —H, C1-12 linear alkyl, C3-12 branched alkyl,
• wherein one or more than two nonadjacent —CH2—in the C1-12 linear alkyl,
• can each be independently replaced by —CH═CH—, —C≡C—, —O—, —CO—, —CO—O— or —O—CO—, and one or more —H in the C1-12 linear alkyl can each be independently substituted by —F or —Cl;

• Xo1 and Xo2 each independently represents —H, —OH, —SH, —NH2, —NHR11, —N(R11)2, —NHC(O)R11, —OR11, —C(O)OH, —CHO, C1-12 linear halogenated or unhalogenated alkyl or C3-12 branched halogenated or unhalogenated alkyl, wherein at least one of Xo1 and Xo2 is selected from a group consisting of —OH, —SH, —NH2, —NHR11, —C(O)OH and —CHO, wherein R11 represents C1-12 linear alkyl or C3-12 branched alkyl;
