Abstract
A method for producing a fluoride of the present disclosure includes firing a mixture, which includes a first ammonium salt containing Ti and F, a second ammonium salt containing Al and F, and having composition different from that of the first ammonium salt, and a lithium-containing compound, in an inert gas atmosphere. The first ammonium salt is represented by (NH4)aTiFa+4, and a satisfies 0<a≤2. The second ammonium salt is represented by (NH4)bAlFb+3, and b satisfies 0<b≤3. The lithium-containing compound includes at least one selected from the group consisting of lithium fluoride, lithium carbonate, and lithium nitrate.
