System and method

A system comprising:

• a first acquisition unit configured to acquire a detection range of a first sensor, wherein the first sensor is a sensor mounted on a vehicle, wherein the first sensor detects the distance between the vehicle and the obstacle, wherein the vehicle having a collision avoidance function of avoiding collision against an obstacle based on a distance between the vehicle and the obstacle;
• a second acquisition unit configured to acquire a detection range of a second sensor, wherein the second sensor is a sensor disposed outside the vehicle, wherein the second sensor detects a distance between the vehicle and an inspection device that inspects the vehicle;
• and
• a function stop instruction unit configured to transmit to the vehicle an instruction of stopping the collision avoidance function that uses a detection result of the first sensor obtained by detecting an overlapping portion of the detection range of the first sensor included in the detection range of the second sensor, when a predetermined condition including that the overlapping portion has been specified is satisfied.

A method comprising:

• acquiring reliability of a first sensor, wherein the first sensor is a sensor mounted on a vehicle, wherein the first sensor detects the distance between the vehicle and the obstacle, wherein the vehicle having a collision avoidance function of avoiding collision against an obstacle based on a distance between the vehicle and the obstacle;
• acquiring reliability of a second sensor, wherein the second sensor is a sensor disposed outside the vehicle, wherein the second sensor detects a distance between the vehicle and an inspection device that inspects the vehicle;
• and
• stopping the collision avoidance function that uses a detection result of the first sensor, when a predetermined condition including that the reliability of the first sensor is lower than the reliability of the second sensor is satisfied.
