Communication system and method for operating a 5g mesh network for service continuity

A communication system, comprising:

• a central cloud server that comprises a processor, wherein the processor is configured to:
• obtain a plurality of sensed parameters from each edge device of a plurality of edge devices based on a discovery process at each edge device of the plurality of edge devices,
• wherein the plurality of sensed parameters is associated with at least one of a donor antenna array of each edge device of the plurality of edge devices, or one or more relay antenna arrays of each edge device of the plurality of edge devices;
• cause a machine learning model to find correlation among a plurality of data points of the plurality of sensed parameters;
• and
• formulate, using the correlation, rules to establish, maintain, and select one or more edge devices of the plurality of edge devices in advance for one or more signal obstruction scenarios,
• wherein the rules are formulated to serve one or more remote User Equipment (UEs) and to identify optimal signal transmission paths to reach to the one or more remote UEs.
