An image display method using an image display device that displays a plurality of moire images or reconstructed images to which second characteristic information among characteristic information on a direction including first characteristic information on a direction of an inspection target and the second characteristic information on a direction of an image of the inspection target is given, the image display method comprising:

• a first selection step of selecting one piece of the second characteristic information;
• and
• a display step of aligning and displaying the plurality of moire images or reconstructed images in a same direction, based on the second characteristic information selected in the first selection step, wherein
• in the display step, characteristic information on the direction including at least one piece of the first characteristic information and one piece of the second characteristic information is displayed together with the plurality of moire images or reconstructed images.

A non-transitory recording medium storing a computer readable program for a computer of an image display device that displays a plurality of moire images or reconstructed images to which second characteristic information among characteristic information on a direction including first characteristic information on a direction of an inspection target and the second characteristic information on a direction of an image of the inspection target is given, the program causing the computer to function as:

• a first selector that selects one piece of the second characteristic information;
• and
• an image processor that aligns the plurality of moire images or reconstructed images in a same direction, based on the second characteristic information selected by the first selector, wherein
• the image processor causes a display to display characteristic information on the direction including at least one piece of the first characteristic information and one piece of the second characteristic information together with the plurality of moire images or reconstructed images.
