Polyol-containing composition, and polyurethane and aqueous polyurethane obtained using same as starting material

Abstract

A novel polyol-containing composition and the like capable of forming polyurethane or aqueous polyurethane that is not only excellent in durability but has various functionalities enhanced with the introduction of a functional group is provided. A polyol-containing composition includes at least one hydroxy compound, wherein the polyol-containing composition has a number-average molecular weight of 300 to 5,000, and the at least one hydroxy compound has: at least one main backbone structure selected from the group consisting of an isocyanurate backbone, an iminooxadiazinedione backbone, a biuret backbone, an allophanate backbone, an aromatic backbone, and an alicyclic backbone; at least one sub-backbone structure selected from the group consisting of a carbonate bond, an ether bond, and an ester bond, and connected directly or via a linking group to the main backbone structure; at least two or more terminal hydroxy groups connected directly or via a linking group to the sub-backbone structure.
