Modular flowrate sensor assembly for chlorinator

A modular flow sensor assembly, comprising:

• a cage including two bearings;
• a shaft coupled to the two bearings and oriented in a direction substantially parallel to a direction of flow through the sensor assembly;
• and
• a plurality of turbine blades coupled to the shaft,
• wherein the modular flow sensor assembly does not include any electrical connections.

A method for installing a flowrate sensor assembly in a chlorinator device having an inlet and an outlet, comprising:

• providing the flowrate sensor assembly comprising:
• a cage including at least one bearing;
• at least one turbine blade inside the cage and coupled to the at least one bearing;
• and
• a lip that protrudes from the cage,
• inserting the flowrate sensor assembly into the inlet of the chlorinator device such that the lip contacts an outer surface of the inlet;
• and
• securing the flowrate sensor assembly to the inlet by installing a threaded connector that presses the lip against the outer surface of the inlet.
