Abstract
Disclosed is a vehicle seat belt cooling system configured to operate, in response to a remote control signal, a cooler in a duct mounted in a pillar trim before a passenger enters a vehicle in summer, to raise a seat belt, that is, a webbing toward an inlet/outlet of the webbing of the pillar trim, the inlet/outlet communicating with a discharge part of the duct, and to cool the webbing in advance using cold air discharged from the cooler, thereby providing a fresh, cool feeling to the passenger when the passenger enters the vehicle and fastens the seat belt.
Claims20
A vehicle seat belt cooling device comprising:
- a pillar trim having a webbing inlet/outlet formed in an upper portion thereof, the pillar trim comprising slide holes formed in an upward-and-downward direction toward the webbing inlet/outlet;
- an anchor coupled to the slide holes of the pillar trim, the anchor being movable upwards and downwards along the slide holes;
- a webbing having one end connected to the anchor and the other end wound around a retractor mounted in the pillar trim;
- a duct mounted on an inner surface of the pillar trim, the duct being configured to transfer a cold air current to the webbing inlet/outlet;
- a cooler mounted on a lower portion of the duct, the cooler being configured to discharge the cold air current to the webbing inlet/outlet along the duct;
- and
- a driving device for anchor upward/downward movement mounted between the pillar trim and the duct, the driving device being connected to the anchor through the slide holes.
A method of cooling a seat belt in a vehicle prior to a passenger entering the vehicle in summer, the method comprising:
- receiving, by a controller, a remote control signal transmitted from a smart device to drive a cooler for generation of a cold air current and to drive a driving device for upward movement of an anchor;
- cutting off current to an electromagnet mounted on an inner surface of a pillar trim, thereby allowing the anchor, which is connected to one end of a webbing of the seat belt, to move upwards along slide holes formed in an upward-and-downward direction toward a webbing inlet/outlet;
- operating the cooler to discharge the cold air current to the webbing inlet/outlet along a duct mounted on the inner surface of the pillar trim;
- and
- cooling the webbing in a state in which the anchor is moved upwards toward the webbing inlet/outlet by the driving device.
A seat belt cooling system for a vehicle, the system comprising:
- a pillar trim having a webbing inlet/outlet formed in an upper portion thereof and slide holes formed in an upward-and-downward direction toward the webbing inlet/outlet;
- an anchor coupled to the slide holes of the pillar trim and movable upwards and downwards along the slide holes;
- a webbing having one end connected to the anchor and the other end wound around a retractor mounted in the pillar trim;
- an electromagnet mounted on a lower inner surface of the pillar trim, the electromagnet being configured to fix the anchor by magnetic force;
- a duct mounted on an inner surface of the pillar trim and configured to transfer a cold air current to the webbing inlet/outlet;
- a cooler mounted on a lower portion of the duct, the cooler being configured to discharge the cold air current to the webbing inlet/outlet along the duct;
- a driving device for anchor upward/downward movement mounted between the pillar trim and the duct and connected to the anchor through the slide holes;
- a smart device configured to transmit, to a controller, a remote control signal to drive the cooler for generation of the cold air current and to drive the driving device for upward movement of the anchor;
- and
- the controller configured to perform driving control on the cooler and the driving device and to perform a control operation to apply or cut off current to the electromagnet,
- wherein, in response to the remote control signal from the smart device, the controller is configured to cut off current to the electromagnet so that the anchor becomes movable upwards along the slide holes and to operate the cooler to direct the cold air current toward the webbing inlet/outlet, thereby cooling the webbing before a passenger enters the vehicle.
