A tire external-scratch monitoring device comprising a controller configured to:
- acquire an image of a tire;
- identify one or more reference positions on an outer surface of the tire as appearing in the image;
- detect external-scratch on the outer surface of the tire as appearing in the image;
- and
- output external-scratch information including positional information for the detected external-scratch relative to the one or more reference positions on the outer surface of the tire.
A tire external-scratch monitoring method to be executed by one or more computers, the method comprising:
- acquiring an image of a tire;
- identifying one or more reference positions on an outer surface of the tire as appearing in the image;
- detecting external-scratch on the outer surface of the tire as appearing in the image;
- and
- outputting external-scratch information including positional information for the detected external-scratch relative to the one or more reference positions on the outer surface of the tire.
A program configured to cause one or more computers to execute operations, the operations comprising:
- acquiring an image of a tire;
- identifying one or more reference positions on an outer surface of the tire as appearing in the image;
- detecting external-scratch on the outer surface of the tire as appearing in the image;
- and
- outputting external-scratch information including positional information for the detected external-scratch relative to the one or more reference positions on the outer surface of the tire.
