Abstract

Provided is an iron-based soft magnetic composite powder for a dust core that has an insulating layer and also high flowability, and a method of easily producing same. The iron-based soft magnetic composite powder for a dust core includes coated particles having an insulating layer formed on the particle surface of iron-based soft magnetic particles. The insulating layer includes a first coating layer formed of aluminum tripolyphosphate disposed on the particle surface and a second coating layer formed of silicone resin disposed on the first coating layer. Coverage of the insulating layer on the particle surface is 85% or more.
