Dental curable composition, dental blank for cutting, method of producing a silica composite oxide particulate, and dental filler

A method of producing a silica composite oxide particulate, comprising:

• a step of preparing a raw material solution by dissolving a condensable silicon compound and a condensable metal compound in a first solvent including a first organic solvent;
• and
• a step of precipitating, by adding the raw material solution to a basic solution including a second solvent that includes a second organic solvent and water to hydrolyze and condense the condensable silicon compound and the condensable metal compound, a silica composite oxide particulate that includes a composite oxide of silicon and a metal including at least titanium or zirconium, has a silica content ratio of 80 to 92 mol %, and is formed of a spherical particle,
• the method of producing a silica composite oxide particulate being characterized in that
• in the first organic solvent, a content ratio of methanol is 80 mass % or more,
• in the second organic solvent, a total content ratio of an alcohol having an alkyl group that has 3 carbon atoms and an alcohol having an alkyl group that has 4 to 5 carbon atoms is 80 mass % or more and a content ratio of an alcohol having an alkyl group that has 3 or less carbon atoms is 5 to 50 mass %, and
• the silica composite oxide particulate that has an average primary particle size of 350 to 600 nm and includes no silica core inside the spherical particle is precipitated by adding the raw material solution to the basic solution such that a content ratio of an alcohol having an alkyl group that has 3 to 5 carbon atoms is 65 mass % or more with respect to a total mass of the first organic solvent and the second organic solvent.

A dental curable composition, comprising:

• a radically polymerizable monomer:
• 100 parts by mass;
• and
• a silica composite oxide particulate that includes a composite oxide of silicon and a metal including at least zirconium, has a silica content ratio of 80 to 92 mol % and an average primary particle size of 350 to 600 nm, and is formed of a spherical particle including no silica core inside:
• 100 to 800 parts by mass.
