## Abstract

A method for transmitting a physical layer protocol data unit and a communication apparatus is disclosed. According to the method, a first device generates a PPDU. The PPDU includes first information carried in a first subcarrier set. The first information includes data information and pilot information. The first subcarrier set includes at least one first RU and/or at least one first MRU. The data information is carried on a data subcarrier included in the at least one first RU and/or a data subcarrier included at least one MRU. The pilot information includes first pilot information carried on a first pilot subcarrier included in the at least one first RU and/or a first pilot subcarrier included in the at least one MRU. This helps increase a number of pilot subcarriers.
