Abstract
A positive electrode active material comprises a primary particle and a covering. The primary particle includes lithium manganese phosphate. The covering covers at least part of a surface of the primary particle. In a radial direction of the primary particle, the covering includes a first region and a second region. Each of the first region and the second region includes carbon. In TEM-EDS analysis, signal intensity of manganese in the second region is more than signal intensity of manganese in the first region.

A positive electrode active material comprising:
- a primary particle;
- and
- a covering, wherein
- the primary particle includes lithium manganese phosphate,
- the covering covers at least part of a surface of the primary particle,
- in a radial direction of the primary particle, the covering includes a first region and a second region,
- each of the first region and the second region includes carbon, and
- in TEM-EDS analysis, signal intensity of manganese in the second region is more than signal intensity of manganese in the first region.
