Abstract
An assembly contains a disconnecting device for a surge-arresting device. A first contact and a second contact of the disconnecting device are connected by a first path having a switching element which can be thermally tripped. A second path is disposed electrically in parallel with the first path. An impedance element is disposed in the second path. A spark gap is disposed in the first path.
Claims18
An assembly, comprising:
- a disconnecting device for a surge-arresting device, said disconnecting device containing:
- a first contact;
- a second contact;
- a first path disposed between said first contact and said second contact, said first path having a switching element being thermally tripped, wherein a spark gap is disposed in said first path, wherein said spark gap and said switching element are connected in series in the first path;
- and
- a second path disposed electrically parallel to said first path and having an impedance element, said second path disposed between said first contact and said second contact.
