Abstract
A first partition of a distributed computing system can synchronously receive first data from a second partition of the distributed computing system. The first partition can execute one or more processor operations based at least in part on the first data to generate second data. The first partition can synchronously send the second data to a third partition of the distributed computing system. The one or more processor operations can be executed asynchronously with respect to at least one of the second partition and third partition.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- synchronously receiving, by a first partition of a distributed computing system, first data from a second partition of the distributed computing system;
- executing, by the first partition, one or more processor operations based at least in part on the first data to generate second data;
- and
- synchronously sending, by the first partition, the second data to a third partition of the distributed computing system;
- wherein the one or more processor operations are executed asynchronously with respect to at least one of the second partition and the third partition.
A computing system comprising:
- a plurality of synchronized partitions, each synchronized partition comprising a plurality of computing devices;
- and
- one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that are executable by one or more processors to cause each respective partition of the plurality of synchronized partitions to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- for each of one or more iterations:
- synchronously receiving, from a preceding synchronized partition of the computing system, operand data generated by the preceding synchronized partition;
- executing one or more processor operations based at least in part on the operand data to generate output data;
- and
- synchronously transmitting, to a following synchronized partition of the computing system, the output data;
- wherein the one or more processor operations are executed asynchronously with respect to at least one of the preceding synchronized partition and the following synchronized partition.
One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that are executable by one or more processors to cause a first synchronized partition of a computing system to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- synchronously receiving first data from a second partition of the computing system;
- executing one or more processor operations based at least in part on the first data to generate second data;
- and
- synchronously sending the second data to a third partition of the computing system;
- wherein the one or more processor operations are executed asynchronously with respect to at least one of the second partition and the third partition.
