Triticale cultivar 7-13-2-1 is an awned winter variety with taller than average height, silage yield and grain production with good straw strength, adapted to the growing regions of New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan The disclosure includes the seeds of Triticale cultivar 7-13-2-1, the plants of Triticale 7-13-2-1, and methods for producing a Triticale plant produced by crossing the cultivar 7-13-2-1 with itself or another Triticale cultivar. The disclosure also relates to methods for producing a Triticale plant containing in its genetic material one or more transgenes and to the transgenic Triticale plants and plant parts produced by those methods. Further disclosed are Triticale varieties or breeding varieties and plant parts derived from Triticale cultivar 7-13-2-1, to methods for producing other Triticale varieties, lines or plant parts derived from Triticale cultivar 7-13-2-1, and to the Triticale plants, varieties, and their parts derived from the use of those methods. The disclosure further relates to hybrid Triticale seeds and plants produced by crossing the cultivar 7-13-2-1 with another Triticale cultivar.
A seed of Triticale cultivar 7-13-2-1, wherein a representative sample of seed of said cultivar has been deposited under NCMA Accession No. ______.
A method of vegetatively propagating a plant of Triticale cultivar 7-13-2-1, the method comprising:
A plant produced by introducing a single locus conversion into Triticale cultivar 7-13-2-1, or a selfed progeny thereof comprising the single locus conversion, wherein the single locus conversion is introduced into the Triticale cultivar 7-13-2-1 by backcrossing or genetic transformation and wherein a sample of seed of Triticale cultivar 7-13-2-1 has been deposited under NCMA Accession No. ______.
A method of introducing a desired trait into Triticale cultivar 7-13-2-1 wherein the method comprises:
A method of producing a plant of Triticale cultivar 7-13-2-1 comprising at least one new trait, the method comprising introducing a mutation or transgene conferring the at least one new trait into a plant of Triticale cultivar 7-13-2-1, wherein a sample of seed of the cultivar has been deposited under NCMA Accession No. ______.
A method of comparing and/or characterizing the genotype of a plant of Triticale cultivar 7-13-2-1, a sample of seed of which has been deposited under NCMA Accession No. ______, comprising:
