Abstract
The disclosure provides seeds and plants of cauliflower hybrid ‘E40W801’ (also known as “Tessaury”). The disclosure thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of cauliflower hybrid ‘E40W801’ and to methods for producing a cauliflower plant produced by crossing such plants with themselves or with another plant, such as a cauliflower plant of another genotype. The disclosure further relates to seeds and plants produced by such crossing. The disclosure further relates to plants, seeds, and tissue cultures of cauliflower hybrid ‘E40W801’ comprising introduced beneficial or desirable traits.
Claims22
A seed of hybrid cauliflower designed as ‘E40W801’, representative sample of seed having been deposited under NCIMB Accession Number X1.
A method of vegetatively propagating a plant of hybrid cauliflower variety ‘E40W801’, the method comprising the steps of:
- (a) collecting tissue capable of being propagated from a plant of hybrid cauliflower variety ‘E40W801’, representative seed of said cauliflower variety having been deposited under NCIMB Accession Number X1;
- and
- (b) producing a cauliflower plant from said tissue.
A cauliflower plant of cauliflower hybrid ‘E40W801’, a sample of seed of said hybrid having been deposited under NCIMB Accession Number X1, further comprising a single locus conversion.
A method of producing a seed of an ‘E40W801’-derived cauliflower plant, comprising:
- (a) crossing a hybrid cauliflower designated as ‘E40W801’, representative sample of seed having been deposited under NCIMB Accession Number X1, with itself or a second cauliflower plant;
- whereby seed of an ‘E40W801’-derived cauliflower plant forms.
